The Excalibur Award was created in 1991 at the 138th Grand Annual Conclave of the Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Texas.  Thr purpose of the Excalibur Award is to honor and recognize a Sir Knight for his outstanding service to Templary or elsewhere in Freemasonry.  A Commandery may on award one Excalibur Award per year and does not have to make the award each year.
