Funeral Services for Neal Elgin Skinner, 91, of Rosenberg will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Garmany and Carden Funeral Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m. the day of the funeral. Neal was born on July 24, 1921 to Harvey and Velma Amos Skinner in Mineola, TX, and passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012, in Richmond, TX. On Valentine’s Day 1962, he married the love of his life, Jessie Mae Kennelly Skinner. In addition to his parents and wife, Neal is preceded in death by his siblings: Mary Allie Skinner, Lillian Strickland, Harvey Skinner Jr., Dorothy Newman, Carl David Skinner and Donald Ray Skinner. Survivors include brothers: Hubert W. Skinner and wife, Betty of Mineola, TX; James N. Skinner of Mineola, TX. Sisters; Mary Keller of Conroe; Beatrice Harrison of Houston; Ann Riddle and husband Kenneth of Quitman, TX; Betty Savage and husband Glenn of Quitman, TX. Brother-In-Law: Shirley Kennelly and wife Janet of Richmond, TX; Sister-In-Law: Thelma Kennelly Callender of Katy, TX. Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Special friends: R.L. (Tiny) Gaston, Bo Randall, Robert Bird, Steven Bontempo, Wallace Borowiak and the employees of Baytown Seafood Richmond, TX, where Neal enjoyed his Seafood Gumbo. Neal served in the US Army during World War II, and he was a long time employee of Houston Lighting and Power Company. In 2012 he received the Grand Royal Purple Service Award, as few people can match or top Neal’s long-running service to the Masonic Lodge: 1952 Master Mason in Conroe Masonic Lodge #748; Member of Morton Lodge #74, Richmond, TX, since 1973, Received 60 Year Masonic Service Award in 2012; Past President Ft. Bend Scottish Rite 1991-1992, received Knight Commander Cross of Honor 2006; Worthy Patron Rosenberg Chapter #2 Order of the Eastern Star 1992-93; Affiliated with York Rite Richmond Chapter #467, R.A.M. 1977, Endowed Member 2011, High Priest 1981-82,1988-89,1993-94; 2011 Endowed Member of Richmond Council #383, R.&S.M.; Thrice Illustrious Master 1981-81, 1983-84, 1988-89, 1997-98; Most Illustrious Grand Sentinel of the Most Illustrious Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters of Texas 1984; 1985 Knight Templar Commander of Ft.
